December Update from our Chief Executive

Well it is nearly the end of what has been a fabulous 2013 for the Police and Families Credit Union. We have celebrated a significant milestone this year of serving our members for 40 years. We continue to focus on how we can ensure that we remain important and relevant to you, our members for the next 40 years.

This issue of Bluenotes celebrates the very best of what your Credit Union is about. Check out the story of Graham and Natasha Kimber and how we have been able to assist them with purchasing their own home. Whilst we continue to assess the impact of the Reserve Bank changes in regards to low equity loans, we are still very keen to talk to any member about different options that may assist them into their own home.

Congratulations to Simon Ballantyne for being our latest winner in our AccessDebit MasterCard® promotion - look out next year for further chances to win.

I am delighted to advise that this year we have paid out $1.9m in Christmas Club Account savings to 2,075 members. By putting a little aside every fortnight from their pay it is a pleasant surprise for Christmas Club Account members to receive their savings plus interest each November. Should you wish to set up a Christmas Club Account to make next year easier, just give our friendly team a call on 0800 429 000.

As always, I would love to hear from you if you have any thoughts or ideas about how we can make our credit union stronger and even more relevant to our members. You can contact me direct on 04 471 4850 or email helen.hatchard@policecu.org.nz.

Wishing you a wonderful holiday season and a prosperous 2014.

Kind regards
Helen
