Can I make lump sum payments, and/or settle early without a penalty?
Yes, you are more than welcome to make lump sum payments or settle your loan early. Neither lump sum payments nor early repayments incur any penalties.
Do I get an interest rebate if I settle early?
No, there are no interest rebates. However, as interest is charged daily on your outstanding balance; making an early settlement will result in an interest saving.
What will my fortnightly repayments be?
Your fortnightly payments are dependent on the amount borrowed, the interest rate, and the term of the loan. Call us on 0800 429 000 and we can provide you with an estimate of your fortnightly repayments before you commit to a loan.
Can I increase my fortnightly loan repayments without being penalised?
Yes, you can increase your fortnightly repayment without penalty. If you are a current Police employee, you can request this in writing using your Police email, or alternatively you can fax us a signed authorisation to 04 499 2006.
How quickly will my loan be processed?
Under normal circumstances, we can approve a loan within 24 hours of receiving your loan application.

If you use PFCU internet banking your available balance is shown on the accounts page.

If I ask the Credit Union to release my charge once my loan is settled, and then require a loan later do I have to pay the cost again for a charge to be registered?
Yes. To avoid this cost you can elect to have the charge remain with the Credit Union. You can always release it at a later date.
